We're so glad you're considering joining Mt. Shasta Icebreakers Hockey. We welcome players of all ability levels and seek to increase interest and skill among all players. We take any age person (child or adult) BUT the person should be able to stay on skates (even total beginners) without the use of the wall or a skating assist device. Take a look at the steps below to get your player registered and ready to step on the ice.
The interest form provides us with your player's basic information as well as places you on our email list to ensure you receive information about our upcoming season.
All participants must have a USA Hockey membership In order to check out gear and before stepping onto the Ice. USA Hockey provides our insurance and training, and ensures our program continues safely. For rates and membership benefits, check out usahockey.com. Upload a copy of your certificate here, or bring It to the gear check out day.
Print and complete your Siskiyou Ice Rink Season Pass form. Bring it along with cash, a check, or credit card to the ice rink during regular hours of operation (or during our gear check out session) to purchase your pass. Be sure to purchase the "Hockey All-Access Pass" for your hockey player.
Mt. Shasta Icebreakers Hockey seeks to allow all players access to learning hockey. To help with this, our team maintains a fairly extensive inventory of hockey gear for players to borrow for the season. Pay the gear deposit of $40 to borrow pads, sticks, and skates as our supply allows. $20 will be returned to you upon return of the gear. You MUST attend one of the gear check out sessions in order to obtain gear, we do not hand gear out at practices.
Watch your email and Facebook for the announcement of our pre-season meeting. This Is an important meeting where we go over the expectations for the season and introduce some of the people key to keeping this organiation running.
